Policy
It is the policy of Pineview Commons to offer limited visitation to accommodate visits according to The New York State Department of Health (DOH) guidelines to maintain the safety and well-being of our residents.
Procedure
Visitation will take place outside or in areas designated for visiting inside the facility. Please call 24 hours in advance of a planned visit to accommodations can be made. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
Visitation will be paused if Pineview Commons has an increase in the number of residents or staff with a confirmed positive COVID-19 diagnosis. If visitation is paused due to the above, residents will be notified in person and family members will be notified by phone.
Family members are allowed to visit. Visitors must wear a mask and must undergo COVId-19 symptom screening including temperature check. Visitors who have been recently exposed or have any symptoms of COVID-19 may not enter facility to visit.
When visiting you must enter the side entrance that directly faces Melcher Street. You cannot enter the building through the front door unless previously arranged when you call to schedule the visit. A staff member will meet you there to complete the screening process with you. If a visitor has a temperature of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, screens positive for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or doesn’t pass the screening questions, visitation will be denied.
During visitation, you must maintain social distancing (6 feet apart) and wear a mask throughout the entire visit. If you do not have an appropriate face covering Pineview Commons will provide you with a mask. During visitation the facility must maintain social distancing so we ask that you not touch, hug, and kiss your loved one, no eating or drinking during the visit, also no pets allowed.
Pineview Commons provides hand sanitizer to use before and after your visit. Areas, where visitors and residents meet, will be appropriately disinfected between each visit using EPA approved disinfectant by staff.

If Pineview Commons fails to comply with the above requirements the facility must halt visitations and inform DOH so please follow all visiting protocol as listed. The Department of Health can halt visitation at the facility at any time due to community or facility spread of infection or if the DOH identifies that the facility has failed to comply with requirements of the visitation guidelines.

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in restriction or revocation of visitations.
