Family Letter

March 14, 2023

Dear Resident Family Members and/or Representative:

Regarding: COVID-19

Please accept this letter as notification that one resident has tested positive for COVID-19. Family members of the resident that tested positive for COVID-19 and the family members of the residents that were directly exposed and were placed on isolation/quarantine were notified via phone and this letter is to serve as follow up and notification to all family members. Fulton County Public Health has been notified and aware of the current measures we have taken to prevent other residents from being exposed.

We will evaluate the need to extend and/or widen the quarantine to include other residents on a daily basis. These residents will be served meals in their room and are being asked to remain in their rooms for the next five (5) days as we monitor the other residents for symptoms of COVID-19. Residents affected will receive in room activities to help keep them occupied while they are in their rooms. Staff members from the office and activities will make room visits on a regular basis. Residents will be tested if they exhibit symptoms and families will be notified of positive results in writing with follow up letters from this date forward. You will be called directly if your family member has symptoms or tests positive. Please feel free to contact myself or Karen Hogan, Case Manager to check on the status of your family member at any time.

We will continue to monitor residents closely with temperature and other vital checks at least once daily with increased intervals on residents showing any symptoms. Staff will wear full Personal Protective Equipment as needed when in contact with residents as needed. All high touch areas of facility will be sanitized on a frequent basis with increased sanitizing where needed.

As stated above you will be kept informed of results of further testing and next steps via follow up letters and updates will continue to be posted on our website. pineviewcommons.org. Please feel free to contact me to discuss further. As a reminder you are receiving this letter as the facility’s primary contact. Please contact other family members/friends so they are aware.

Sincerely,
