FAQs

What is Assisted Living?

Assisted living generally refers to a community where seniors may enjoy a private room, suite, or shared room, with certified aides trained and ready to provide care to our residents.

Residents receive 24-hour supervision and assistance with the activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Care is individualized based on each residents’ personal needs. Other services included in the monthly fee are assistance with medication management, case management services, meals and snacks, housekeeping, laundry, and daily recreational activities.

What are the benefits of Assisted Living?

The list is long, but here are a few of the many benefits associated with Assisted Living:

  • Enhanced social life (combating isolation or loneliness)
  • Additional recreation opportunities
  • 24-hour assistance from certified home health aides
  • Increased peace of mind

How much does Assisted Living cost and does Medicare cover the costs associated with Assisted Living?

Cost varies based on the type of room requested. Unfortunately, Medicare does not help cover assisted living expenses, but there are Federal and New York State programs in place that may help with financial assistance.

How long is a typical Assisted Living commitment?

Unlike apartment living, our community does not require a long-term commitment. Pineview Commons requires only a month-to-month commitment – with 30 days notice before leaving – so that individuals can make the right decision to meet their needs at any given time.
